Dive into a world of dancing polar bears and trick-playing grumpuses, circus performers, brass bands and streets filled with stars. On December 7, the village of Rhinebeck will be transformed into a scene straight from dreams, borrowing a page from the Old Dutch tradition of Sinterklaas. Meet Sinterklaas Hudson Valley Designer Jeanne Fleming as she spins the magical story of the tradition and shares the wonder of the early winter night when all denominations, cultures, and ages join hands together. Come along with Angela and Nicole as they attend a crowns and branches workshop in preparation for Festival day and get a behind the scenes look at what makes this community staple possible. Curious newcomer or devoted festival veteran, allow yourself to be transformed and transported into a snow covered meeting ground of the new and the old, where wishes are possible and children are kings and queens.
