The singer, songwriter, and DJ is on the verge of breaking into the tightly knit circuit on the dancehall scene. Born Vivian Thomas, Ian as he is popularly known in the community of Kendal, Manchester where he calls home, developed a love for music at an early age. The talented singer/songwriter and DJ has goals of emerging as a big hit in dancehall music and is seeking to bring his one of a kind style to international prominence. The growth of his craft has not surprised members of his community because he was regarded as a talented young artiste who was highly promoted by his father's sound system and rivals in the form of his uncles. They would take turns on the microphone free-styling and building rhythms. DiTranQuil gravitated immensely to that energy and the community members became his audience. His musical influences, mainly Bounty Killa and the late Garnet Silk gave him a leverage of versatility.?“I look at music differently. I look at it as not only a business but a way to express my genuine passion for the love of music and for the fans and to produce music that everybody can relate to. I also believe in trusting the process. Once it is for you, it will be due to you, just believe in yourself and work hard.”- DitranQuilDitranQuil’s musical style is reggae - dancehall, however, the artiste loves the creativity of filtering afro beats and EDM into his music. He builds on his craft and stage presence by performing at schools and community concerts as well as the Little Ochi Seafood Festival in 2014. He is disciplined and pursued tertiary education while recording music. He is the holder of a bachelor’s degree in accounting and currently works as a financial professional.?He is still riding the momentum with his musical journey by working with Category 5, Dmstry Production in Zambia and Sci-Vybez Production in Australia. His first hit recording, "Beg Yuh A Buss" was recorded in 2015.“The most rewarding thing in the music industry is hearing my songs on the radio and winning the ‘Roll Out’ competition on TVJ live morning program”. – DiTranQuil“I have released songs like: Beg a buss, Drop di Gun, Move and Gweh, Break up, Stop Violence Against Women and the list goes on.” –DitranQuil?Since then, his passion and drive to fill every home with his music escalated. DiTrannuil continues to write and produce reggae music with positive messages and an infectious beat. The first release from Tranquil Productions, "Crazy Love", features international artist Wild Wassi and Jamaican up-and-comer Artiste Desire and Tranquil Productions newly released “Free Wifi”.
