Speaker: Micheal O’Siadhail Chair and interlocutor: Lord Blunkett Micheal O’Siadhail is a poet who has published sixteen collections of poetry, the latest The Five Quintets. He has been a lecturer at Trinity College Dublin and a professor at the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies. Lord Blunkett was MP for Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough for 28 years until 2015, and served as Education and Employment Secretary, Home Secretary and Work and Pensions Secretary in Tony Blair's Cabinet. He was awarded a peerage in 2015. Part of Art, Imagination and Public Service, Westminster Abbey Institute’s 2019 autumn programme.
