Comedy & Camping with Aubree Sweeney

Arts

Welcome back to Comedy & Camping! In this episode, Aubree talks about her time at the University of Arizona and remembering what it was like to feel warm. Like, stepping into a preheated oven warm. Reminiscing about Totino’s Pizza and Margaritas encourages Aubree to play one of her favorite Jimmy Buffet Songs, on her mando that just so happened to be there. Cindy Sweeney (Aubree's Mom) joins Aubree. They talk about Aubree’s newest addition, Atlas, and his many quirks. Such as, slurping worms from the ground, watching his self-cleaning litter box for hours on end and finding toys they've never seen before. They also talk about Paco’s criminal behaviors as a pup. He was a crook. Reformed now. Aubree and Cindy share some stories of crazy adventures on the road together. They talk about stumbling across the most amazing roadside stop, Cline’s in New Mexico which is where Aubree discovered a love for maple walnut fudge. The time they had a real-life rollercoaster ride on old route 66 – it felt like they were on the mountain where the Grinch lives. The time they were attacked by a barrel cactus in Gates Pass, Tucson. Paco’s first trip to old Tucson and how much Aubree is looking forward to introducing him to South Dakota on her upcoming tour. They both love dinosaurs. So much. Cindy shares some of her favorite camping memories… like the time the scamp rolled down the hill with her and Aubree (baby) in it. Fishing at Schramm in Louisville oh, and the time the RV rained Poop.  They wrap up this segment talking about the amazingness of Hobie Kayaks, visiting the Back Bay Science Center and that time they road BAD SWANS in Kansas City. Aubree jumps back in with more info on Old Tucson and the Desert Museum, a must see if you’re in the area. She talks about her last visit, meeting up with some friends and her weird obsession with tumbleweeds. Wanting to get back on stage at Laffs and doing her first ever RV Park Show at Sun Valley RV Resort a few years back. That was the beginning of her never-ending campground tour because it was so much fun! Aubree’s Comedy Album, “It’s Raining Shit” is coming out this spring, if you haven’t already please connect with her on the socials or her site so you don’t miss it. She’s so excited to have the opportunity to share it with all of you. Aubree shares a bit she’s working on  for the album about being invisible at the RV Repair Shop until she goes Southern. Thanks so much for listening and please remember to keep lifting each other up.
