Episode Notes S2:E4 – FACE SITTING, FOOD COURT EPIPHANIES AND BANG ON!: CARLA AND DELIA DISCUSS THE ETHICAL SLUT The girls herald in the New Year by touching base on their dating exploits. Carla’s dating exploits take her to God’s Country and matches all of Texas on the app Bumble. Delia decides that 2020 is the year of face sitting while advising men that it would behoove them to work on their transitions from, “What’s your favorite color?’ to “Come over and sit on my face.” The gal pals dish on their New Year’s Intentions/Resolutions, words for the year ahead and focusing on what brings them joy. And a lot of sex. Carla, while absolute shit at dating challenges, does enjoy herself some soup (yes it’s a euphemism), updates us on her San Francisco Treat and a blast from the past that has Delia saying, Uh no… that’s too late. Delia and Carla share their difference of opinion on Costco and Carla shares her epiphany that transpired at the food court, over the hot dog and soda combo. Delia updates us on her tindering, being ghosted and a tinder fellow suspects her of catfishing. The girls decide that 2020 is the year they don’t force a damn thing. Carla shares a friendship parable for modern times including a healthy dose of karma. The girls dive into this week’s book The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities. What Delia loves about the book is that it gives the reader permission to explore their sexuality, have sex outside of the confines of a relationship and to start taking proud ownership of the word slut. The girls touch base on the definition of Slut and the descriptors uncomplimentary af. The book is conversational, not clinical, it does it’s level-headed best to be informative about what ethical slutdom entails. The book demystifies being polyamourous, while the ladies have more questions than answers.Delia takes issue with the term undiscerning… her vagina after all is not a clown car, there is room enough for exactly one circus cock. The girls chat about the downside of polyamory, primarily jealousy and how to handle it. Open and transparent communication is the name of the game. Delia gets a little sidetracked by other publications by Greenery Press and she is curious about vaginal fisting. The question arises, Submissive or Dominant? And how important open conversations are when it comes to trying new things and sexploration. Delia’s final piece of advice? If you have questions, pick up the book! There is a tribe out there that you can be a part of. Be open minded and try new things but know your boundaries. Carla looks up the Amazon reviews and has a Freudian slip. Delia decides the term “serious relationship” is fucking awful and they touch on both the five star and one star reviews of the book. And one thing is for certain, choose your choice and hopefully that is choice is on the road to happiness. Delia recommends the book to those going through transitions and Carla reveals that in her 20s she would have been super judgy about this book but now sees the immense value in the contents.
