On our show this week Geoff and I explore Super-Political Psych-Folk warrior SELDA! An extremely outspoken liberal activist in Turkey, Selda was the student of engineering physics until she decided to pursue musical service to the Turkish people. With her powerful and passionate voice, she highly criticized the government and even after the coup d'etat in 1980 was arrested four times in three years for her activism! Selda still performs, creates and produces records to this day, working in Istanbul at her studio called Majör Müzik Yapım.
