"I’ve always tried to remind myself that there’s always something good that can come out of something bad … sometimes you just have to look a little harder to find it" said by Kietah Martens-Shaw, Founder of BOKideas and the guest on this episode.Kietah is a business owner who wears her heart on her sleeve and had a real shift when Coronavirus started to take over her life and all her business events got cancelled.  Before BOKideas, she was a for-purpose event manager and was in the midst of running a month long event during March for a not for profit supporting the wheelchair impaired. This along with many others were cancelled which instantly put her in ‘what the hell am I going to do mode’.   Amongst the tears and moments of gathering herself through meditation and talking with her support network she decided it was the perfect time to shift her focus to her new business B.OKideas. B.OKideas is all about supporting others and there is literally no better time than now to help people and businesses to exactly that. And this is why I wanted to reach out to her and talk to her because during upheaval this is what we need.  Good stories, warm hearted and soul driven purposes.  The B.OK Boxes are designed to support someone with an ‘air hug’ or ‘hug in a box’ with the social distancing restrictions or for HR Managers and management to support employees working from home and finding a new meaning of work/life balance. Not only has Kietah had to switch business purpose and mode, she has battled cervical cancer when she was younger and know the hardship of sickness, isolation and depression and has come through it as an inspiring woman doing inspiring things.I encourage you to follow her, see her boxes and even spread some 'air hugs' to anyone going through something that needs to feel that warmth.Website: www.bokideas.comInstagram: www.instagram.com/b.okideasFacebook Group: The B.OK Buddy CommunityFacebook page: www.facebook.com/B.OKideas
