In 1967, Van Vlahakis, who grew up during the pre-WWII era in Nazi Germany, started the ECOS brand with an eco-friendly laundry detergent. Now, over 50 years later, Van's daughter Kelly has turned the ECOS brand, and its manufacturer Earth Friendly Products in to a worldwide household name. When Kelly talks about family and family business, she lights up.
