Jesus came to serve, and by his Spirit we can serve others. When we spend time in the word and presence of Jesus our heart is changed to reflect his heart for those around us. Like Martha, we can be changed to serve from a place of encounter, rather than from a sense of duty. This type of serving brings life rather than draining it.
