Paul was shipwrecked, but what can we learn from it? Here are two points: 1) God Protects: throughout this storm God protects Paul and the other passengers. Its not simple or comfortable but he protects. And he does it through various means. All of the protection is aimed at preserving his messenger and continuing the unstoppable spread of the gospel. 2) Paul Leads: Paul steps forward a number of times in this passage and speaks up. In this leadership here we see 1) Trust 2) Love 3) Confidence 4) Action. When we love people and are confident in God we will take courageous action.
