Dr. Alena Amato Ruggerio presented this sermon on September 30, 2012 at the Medford Congregational United Church of Christ in Medford, Oregon. In December 2012, Dr. Ruggerio completed her final month of eleven years of service on the EEWC-Christian Feminism Today Executive Council. She continues to be one of our most prolific writers and reviewers. An associate professor of communication at Southern Oregon University, she recently published her first book, "Media Depictions of Brides, Wives, and Mothers" (Lexington Books, 2012).
