REAL TALK w/ The Panel

Society & Culture

LUPUS. . .I am no expert on this particular subject but I will talk about this disease is on the rise and it has made it's mark amongst Women of Color. My friend Racquel Dozier will be my guest tomorrow night as we discuss the effects of Lupus and how it has changed her life. Racquel Dozier is the founder and president of the Lupus in Color Foundation.  Lupus In Color was created to cater to the needs of men and women of all colors of the rainbow suffering or directly affected with Lupus.  The Lupus In Color goal is to provide education and support as well as an outlet when a survivor’s emotions have gotten the best of them.  The Motto of Lupus In Color is: "I Have Lupus, Lupus Does NOT Have Me!" This motto gives a lupus survivor the strength to move on. It removes the stronghold that this invisible disease can have on its survivors.  Being a Lupus Survivor is a tale untold. Through all the pain and heartache, a lupus survivor is strong.  Racquel’s goal through the Lupus in Color Foundation is to GENERATE  LUPUS AWARENESS FOR A DISEASE THAT OFTEN GOES UNRECOGNIZED IN THE PUBLIC EYE AND TO ASSIST LUPUS SURVIVORS IN MANAGING AND DEALING WITH THEIR DISEASE. Racquel was diagnosed with Lupus in 2003 and has been on a mission to actively educate others and help Lupus Survivors worldwide. She works diligently at being a lupus advocate for lupus patients and works daily to provide support to lupus survivors across the country. Tune in tomorrow night at 9 pm with me Vince Pass as we have a family discussion about Lupus. . .Please be there it can help you help someone or even yourself deal with this heart wretching disease.
