Adam Goldberg of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP talks to Ted Gayer about Obama's proposed economic and financial regulation policies and accompanying political constraints, as well as how the actions of the Federal Reserve may impact the housing market and the larger economy over the next several months. Gayer is co-director of the Economic Studies Program and the Joseph A. Pechman Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution. Among his past positions, he was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic Policy at the Department of the Treasury (2007-2008) and a senior economist for the President's Council of Economic Advisers (2003-2004).
