Our sources detail instances of substance use and Robert’s relationship with his mother, Lisa Bee, who also speaks on his changing behavior. “Two weeks before he went missing his attitude changed,” said Bee. “I kept asking him, ‘Bonzai, what’s going on, why are you acting like this?’ And he was like, nothing, he would look at me with a blank look, like nothing was there. No emotion, no nothing.” Robert “Bonzai” Bee was a Pekin, Illinois teenager who officially went missing on Nov. 18, 2016. His remains were found in the summer of 2017. His murder is still unsolved.
