Estrogen metabolism dysregulation may be linked to symptoms of bloating, constipation, menstrual problems, weight gain, low libido, and also conditions like pms, acne, endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and breast cancer. The link could be explained by the Estrobolome. Which was first mentioned in 2011 by Plottel and Blaser in 2011. as “the aggregate of enteric bacterial genes whose products are capable of metabolizing estrogen." Simply put some bacteria in the gut may be causing increased estrogens to recirculate into our blood instead of being eliminated.  When this happens, it can be not so good for us. In this episode, I welcome Dr. Carrie Jones an international expert in Women's Health and Hormone health to help us unpack this topic. In this episode we cover: What is the Estrobolome. Symptoms of estrobolome      dysfunction Phase 1 detoxification Phase 2 detoxification Phase 2.5 detoxification Phase 3 detoxification How is bile involved with      estrogen detoxification?
