Knowing God - The Quest

Religion & Spirituality

Numerous times in Scripture God declares, 'I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God.' The word translated jealousy is the Hebrew word qana. In the New Testament it is the Greek word zaelo. Both refer to having a hot fervency toward something, or someone. The Fervency of God is displayed in His Zeal for His Person, His Plan and His People. However, it is also displayed in His jealousy for the affection of His children. Overwhelmingly, God has declared that He will not share His bride with another. Do we have that same zeal for Him and jealousy in our affection for Him? This message was presented on Sunday, July 25, 2010 by Bob Corbin
