Talk about the shift in focus. Snippets From The Humble Idealist: No one can go back and make a brand new start, but anyone can start now and have a brand new end. Disappointed idealists aren't cowards as some may think; they are reeling from the pain of being unable to reconcile their reality with their idealistic expectations. We can confuse expectations and faith. Whereas faith is actively trusting God, and leaving the outcome and our happiness in his hands, expectations are just mental creations. The opposite of expectation is acceptance. While expectations are based in the imaginary, acceptance is grounded in reality. Regardless of what an idealist imagines - we cannot be truly happy until we accept life on life's terms. What has been the most rewarding about writing these first two books? What unique challenges have appeared related to these two books? What are your favorite qualities about your immediate family?
