Education

Welcome to the inaugural episode of the IDES of Engineering Podcast.  Our cohosts, acoustical engineering seniors Zach Beyer and Oscar Otero, chat with Professor Mary Pilotte, Director of Engineering Education Undergraduate Degree Programs in the School of Engineering Education at Purdue University. Professor Pilotte, or Professor P as the students call her, has continued the legacy of strong mentorship to build a strong and talented group of students who bond with each other over their shared passion and zeal for their career paths. Professor Pilotte discusses her role, touches on the concentrations and exactly what IS the difference between Interdisciplinary and Multidisciplinary Engineering, and why she thinks this community is so special at a university like Purdue. Thanks for tuning in! This is the official podcast for the Interdisciplinary Engineering Studies and Multidisciplinary Engineering in the School of Engineering Education at Purdue University. Now in our 50th year, this podcast is dedicated to spotlighting alumni and special guests who describe their interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary engineering background and the way it has supported their careers and lives. Created, hosted and produced by acoustical engineering seniors Zachary Beyer and Oscar Otero.
