Raimo de Vries came to the U.S. from the Netherlands to get an education and play college soccer at Wake Forest for Philly and U.S. soccer legend Walt Chyzowych. After turning pro with the Raleigh Flyers, he ended up on the Colorado Rapids in 1996, the first season of MLS. Now with MLS set to resume its 25th season he's one of eight father-son combos in MLS history with his son Jack de Vries poised to make his MLS debut with the Philadelphia Union.
