Babatunde Idowu Topic: The Private Discipline that brings Public Reward Text: Matthew 6:2-7; 16-18, Isaiah 58:7-9; 11-12, 14 Message Fasting is something that you decide there is no specific time allocated to fasting, as long as the situation demands it, do it. God looks at the intent of our hearts, that's why we are being warned to not be like the hypocrites. God demands us to privately do good, and He shall reward us openly. Prominence means visibility that is being obvious. As believers it has been promised that we shall break forth like the morning. As believers it is not a time for us to be slothful, we should be committed to whatever we are doing so God can bless our efforts. As believers, let righteousness go before us. We must make up our minds to always allow righteousness go before us. All those who have written us off will come back to bow before us as long as we allow righteousness go before us. We should always understand that a greater glory is coming. Pronounced health, our healing shall spring forth speedily as promised by God to be a reward for believers. Fasting brings great benefits especially pertaining healing. When you fast, you are cleaning up your system and it brings relief to us. It can help to break addiction to junk food. It is a spiritual exercise that has benefits. Prayers Lord, give us the strength to fast Lord, help us to always examine our lives All that God knows we need, He will supply
