LIFE, LIBERTY & THE PURSUIT OF PLEASURE

Miscellaneous

On November 8th 2017, Officer Derrick Wiley shot a black man during a confrontation. Officer Wiley was fired and then prosecuted. What happened after that is the subject of this show. Officers are more frequently criminally charged for uses of force during their job of protecting the public and coming in contact with dangerous and resistive suspects. More and more often, the prosecutions are politically based and not fact-based. Prosecution and persecution of our police officers have become too commonplace. The officer's effects are one thing while the toll this takes on families, an entirely different level of stress. Linda Martinelli talks with Defense Attorney Kathy Lowthorp and Officer Wiley’s wife, Maegan Soria-Wiley, as they tell the story of Officer Derrick Wiley from the eyes of the defense attorney and his wife. The Ladies of Liberty support our law enforcement. We speak out. You’re gonna love this.
