In this episode we talk to Frank Kilbride, Country Manager, Ireland of the international logistics services company Aramex, based just north of Dublin.Aramex is a business that is plugged right into all the international supply chain networks that we have been hearing so much about in recent weeks and months in the media due to constraints, bottlenecks, and shortages in many parts of the world.Aramex has its HQ in Dubai in the UAE but operates in over 50 countries, including Ireland, with hubs in Dublin, Cork, and Shannon.In Ireland, the business essentially has three service offerings:· Freight Transport – including Ocean, Air and Land· Logistics Services – which covers Warehousing, Stock Management and Pick n Pack Order Fulfilment· Express DeliveryThis is the second time that Frank has joined us on the show and I have asked him back to explore the world of the supply chain. That is the supply chain which used to work away effectively unseen and unheard of by most lay people and that has now become a subject of acute attention and concern to the media, politicians and the average citizen in the street, as we experience the ongoing consequences of Brexit in northwestern Europe and the lingering effects of the COVID pandemic on the world economy.
