The woman in the house across the street from the girl in the window review by Sucharita Tyagi. Watching the world go by from her living room window, heartbroken Anna sets her sights on a handsome new neighbor until she witnesses a gruesome murder.

Stretching out a stereotypical, cliché thriller narrative over 8 episodes, would require a joke a minute. Subtle and overt digs at how overdone this style of storytelling is, which has become as cliché as “the butler did it”, and hence needs to be retired.

What you get instead is a semi-decent funny moment per episode and a couple of funny but uninspired running gags through the series, my fav is the changing inscription on Anna’s daughter’s tombstone. But the attempt to show us the more than familiar beats of a thriller with an unstable, unreliable, urban female protagonist, results in scenes we’ve seen a 100 times before, TRYING to say look how lame, but failing to do so, because COMMENTARY AUR HUMOR KAHAAN HAI BHAI Will Ferrell producer ho aap iss show ke!
