Miscellaneous

In the Myth of Sisyphus, the hero has to push a rock up a mountain; upon reaching the top, the rock would roll down again, leaving Sisyphus to start over.  Sisyphus is a symbol of mankind as a whole and Sisyphus' punishment symbolizes what we do every single day during our lives and how absurd it can seem. We talk about the dark-side of the Christian faith, namely what is like to be in a high-demand religious group or even just to pastor a church when it becomes all about duty and obligation. Here we confess our struggle with a belief in God on the one hand and a rejection of organized religion on the other as we struggle to find meaning in it all.  --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/DimWits/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/DimWits/support
