In this episode I talk about my son's experience with private coaching, my thoughts on whether or not it may be appropriate as well as how I decided who to choose. I help parents understand from my perspective, as a teacher myself, the most important thing is to look for someone who is a "teacher" first. Here's a video of some training clips to give you a visual of what I think is valuable private coaching. I understand there are arguments to be made that training without decision making is not training, as decision making is at the heart of the game. I agree with this, however, for me at young stages of development a focus on skill and technique is important so that when a player in in a situation they have tools to make the best decisions they can and actually execute their intent.
