The decision was made after the Syrian government used chemical weapons in an attack that killed 80 of their own civilians. Judge Neil Gorsuch has officially been confirmed as the ninth Supreme Court justice this afternoon. The confirmation will finally fill the vacancy left by Antonin Scalia over a year after his death. With Democrats opposing and filibustering the Gorsuch nomination, Senate Republicans made the unprecedented move to “go nuclear”. They voted to change the voting process to need a majority vote, rather than the 60 votes typically needed. We also have a new segment called MICROFESTO.
