Miscellaneous

It’s a beautiful Friday afternoon here in Edmonton if you can ignore how the team has played over the last week, and we’ve got a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio to warm up your inside feelings as you head into the weekend. This week, we looked at the Oilers’ horrifying series against the Leafs, the goaltending, and spoke to former Oiler Jason Strudwick about what’s going on around the National Hockey League. To kick off today's podcast, we got started with a look at what the Oilers need to do to turn things around against the Flames on Saturday. Is it the goaltending? Is it the overall defensive play? Is it the lack of high-end scoring that we're used to? Needless to say, that three-game series against the Leafs was very tough to handle and now it's up to the boys to try and figure out how they can stop the bleeding. From there, Jason Strudwick joined the show to help us figure out what's going on with the Oilers right now and what they need to do to fix the problem. Do they need a save? Does something need to be said in the dressing room? From there, we changed gears to talk about the back and forth exchange between Leon Draisaitl and the media on Wednesday night and give our thoughts about what went down. What I didn't expect, though, is that an argument would break out between the boys about how things played. To be honest, I thought this was going to be a throwaway comment but it turned into something else entirely.
