Undivided is a podcast series which looks at societal barriers with the aim to find a place of unity. This episode is a special edition of Undivided on the role of the media in dividing people and groups against each other. The media is known by some as the "fear machine" it serves to report negative news to keep people trapped and divided from each other. It maintains focus on what is different between people and not common or shared stories of positivity or hope. This episode will look at how the "new media" and social media could be utilized to both divide but unite people as well. It will focus on ways that the media can shift to uplift people and communities. Frank J. Maduri is the Host of Undivided and will use his experience in journalism to guide the conversation.
