The journey from COMPLETE and utter separation to God in the flesh physically dwelling among us is pretty astonishing. Many people had a hard time grasping a concept like a "flesh and bone God" but it was all a part of God's strategic plan to reunite heaven and earth. BUT, that journey doesn't stop with Jesus. The journey continues with US.
