If you added up all the time that internet libertarians have spent arguing with people about who will build the roads, they’ve probably wasted decades of time that could have been spent building wealth to actually buy the roads. Recently, some California cities have started using their roads as collateral to obtain private funding to pay down their pension obligations. So NOW private financial interests are just a few steps away from actually owning the roads! If you think the government is so bad and so incompetent, then you don’t need to waste your time trying to convince people of your solutions. Just create those solutions and wait for the state to fail. It doesn’t matter whether you’re trying to build a political movement or just trying to start a business. If you deal with the world as it exists — rather than how you wish it was — you’ll always be more successful. Failure is just the error part of trial and error. And success will come to those who are willing to keep "trialing and erroring" until their vision aligns with the world as it already is. Those who play the long game will get the wealth. And wealth is freedom.
