?Guest: Rebecca Alfaro-AvenosoMs. Alfaro earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from Monmouth University with a concentration in International and Community Development, which has allowed her to take part in needs assessments, research, and evaluation with communities throughout the United States and internationally. She currently works for the State of NJ as the Deputy Director of the Governor's Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer at Crossfit Arx in Toms River. She has also served as an adjunct professor specializing in courses on prevention science, policy, research, and evaluation. On a volunteer basis, Ms. Alfaro has been providing crisis intervention with survivors of sexual assault in Ocean County since 2002. She has advocated for social justice issues, including human rights and child welfare for most of her life.
