Each room usually comes with a key card as well. 99% of rooms you stay in will be entered though a key card that only your roommates will have. Usually hostels don't allow outside guests in your room, only in the common area. If you get a private room some hostels still won’t allow guests, even in your private room. Most hostels don't have a curfew, but some do.
