Sarkes Mkrdichian Jr. is an Armenian Professional Golfer currently playing on the Gateway Tour, Swingthought Tour, Adams Tour, Dreamchasers Tour, Web.com & PGA Tour Qualifiers. He is also a tech/I.T. entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience, and currently owns three (3) Phoenix area computer repair and sales stores. ​ Sarkes was born in Park Ridge, Illinois parents both of Armenian descent (Father: Sarkes Hamazas Mkrdichian Sr. And Mother: Shenorig Mkrdichian). He played his first round of golf at the age of 9, and competed in junior golf events thought the Illinois Junior Golf Association, and played high school golf at Maine West High School where he won the Bull Dog Invite and several other tournaments. Mkrdichian's college career was cut short due to relocation to Phoenix, Arizona and attending Arizona State University where the team did not allow walk ons. He instead joined the practice squad and later gave up his amateur status to play professional on the gateway tour. Sarkes' ultimate goal is to bring the game of golf to Armenia's, a country that, to date, only has one (1) single 9-hole municipal golf course. By growing the game through the country's youth, he believes valuable life lessons can be taught thru a game that oftentimes mimics the ebs and flows of one's daily existence.
