Randy Hales started working for the Memphis territory when he was 10 years old and was at the Mid-South Coliseum every Monday night starting in 1981, often commentating alongside Lance Russell. By 1986 he was part of the booking team and part of management, and even booked the territory himself from 1994-1996.
