Like a (helpful) slap in the face, our shadow qualities are trying to get our attention and wake us up to our true self, our Soul's mission and our own inner LIGHT! Our shadow comes in all shapes and sizes, including elevated emotions, strong and often involuntary reactions like defensiveness, yelling, screaming, cussing, retreating, ignoring, stomping, throwing stuff. Our shadow can take over our body and cause elevated heart rate, increased blood pressure, sweating, shaking, running away, running at, you name it, our shadow can create it... BUT, the good news is our shadow is not the boss of us - it can become our faithful and devoted assistant, guiding us to our TRUE self and our own inner light.
