In this episode, I talked about 5 Key Steps to Start and Win as an Entrepreneur.Start with WHY: why do you need to do what you are thinking about? Understanding your WHY gives you clarity and encourages you to keep going when things are hard. I recommend you check out Start With Why by Simon Sinek. There are a book and videos out there.Make your research and have an outline of how to get started: When you know your why and have decided to keep going, make your research. Take a course on how-to-start. A quick research would tell you the possible challenges you would face.Don’t overshoot your goals. Have realistic expectations: This is important. Many businesses failed in the first five years they started. I have been a victim of this. I planned and was working to big a brand from day one. No! Start small but think big. Have short and long term goals.Don’t chase money but value: This is important. Chasing money as an entrepreneur especially a small business will not work. The more value and quality service you create, the more money you will get out of it in the long run. Always take care of yourself- health and relationships: Running a business can be physically and emotionally draining. Always take time out for you. You will be more creative and productive when you return to business activity. You are the person with the vision and you don’t want to be burned out or facing challenges that could affect the vision. What do you want to have achieve this season? It does not matter if you want to be a full-time entrepreneur or side-gig champion, you will find these steps helpful. You got what it takes!
