Three Valleys Radio is the only destination for Yeovil’s avid sports fans.The community sports radio station is run by willing volunteers with a major passion for sport.We love our football and our trio of station directors, Adi Hopper, Ian Perkins and Dave Prior are dedicated Yeovil Town fans.Adi Hopper was Head of Media at Yeovil Town Football Club for 15 years, enjoying all the highs of a FA Trophy Final victory in 2002 and two subsequent Playoff finals at Wembley, and is still involved with the club as project manager and administrator of the YTFC.Digital archive web site. His range of contacts from his time at Huish Park gives Three Valleys Radio the exclusives that you won’t hear anywhere else.Ian Perkins has bled Green and White for over twenty years experiencing the overwhelming highs and agonising lows of being a Yeovil Town fan.Dave Prior, Three Valleys Radio’s match commentator with a penchant for a pun has struck up a brilliant relationship with ex-Glover and co-commentator Paul Thorpe. The duo provide some of the most entertaining commentary you’ll hear, alongside Thorpey’s insight into life in football.The fifth man in the sports booth is Josh Wilde. A passionate Glover and football fan with great knowledge of the beautiful game.It’s not just Yeovil Town and football our sports team will be covering. All the local teams from the Yeovil & District Football League, The Perry Street and Devon County Leagues get our attention and we feature the Toolstation Podcast and the Devon Football Show on Three Valleys Radio.Adi’s other passion is for horse racing which extends to part ownership of six flat horses and his contacts. Cheltenham Gold Cup winning trainer Colin Tizzard, will feature strongly on the sports shows.We will follow other local sides including Yeovil, Chard, Crewkerne and Ilminster, Axminster and Sidmouth and any other teams from our area.In the Summer months County and Minor Counties cricket will be featured heavily with regular contributions from Jason Kerr, Head Coach of Somerset County Cricket Club. And that’s not including Adi's connection with local cricket at North Perrott Cricket Club who play their cricket in the West of England League.
