Shame and stigma can be powerful forces, and Alex is on a mission to confront them in his life. We talk about his experience attending an all-boys Catholic high school, the confusion of trying to date women, and wondering, “what’s wrong with me,” and finally in his 20’s more fully embracing his sexual orientation as a gay man. Alex talks about his journey to becoming a psychologist, and wonders whether focusing on others was a subconscious way to shift the focus away from himself. Finally, we discuss being socialized in female dominated professions, and the inadvertent challenges, ironically, of working with men.You can connect with Alex online at:https://www.cbtassociates.com/cbt-associates-team/dr-alexander-r-daros/https://www.psychologytoday.com/ca/therapists/alexander-r-daros-toronto-on/721031If you enjoyed this episode, please take a moment to rate us and leave a review at Apple Podcast, or share this episode with a friend.
