As users of social media become younger and younger, these kids are being exposed to unrealistic expectations and idolizations shown on the internet. People usually only post the good so younger kids are more compelled to believe those to be realistic and compare themselves to others, which can have many harmful effects on their mental health especially at a time of rapid growth.
