Mackenzie Fannin is a Pre-Med Student from Florida who shares her journey on the road to Med School. In this episode, Paige sits down with Mackenzie who explains the highs and lows of her journey through med school. She discusses how to follow your dreams and become the person you aspire to be, especially as struggles of mental health surface. Mackenzie opens up about her mental health struggles and the challenges she's faced throughout the entirety of her life as she navigates her way to becoming a doctor. She outlines the idea of following one's heart as being the most important thing to do with wherever you want to go within your life. Being who you want to be and doing what you want to do is not only best for you but also your mental health. Mental health is an important aspect of who you are and who you become, without allowing mental health to thrive you are not allowing your best self. Being yourself and working at your own pace is important as well, we cannot compare ourselves to the people around us. Everyone goes through life's phases at a different pace, which can be different than us.
