In today’s episode, we will continue talking about the ongoing six-part series of the Leadership Pipeline that leaders move through to go from an industrial era managerial approach to a transformational leadership approach. It is a step towards reinvention and transformation that applies to all the aspects of your relationships and company -- job, friends, projects, and culture. Just a reminder, this pipeline is a circle feeding back into itself rather than a straight linear progression to make room for situations that come up along the way. We have talked about the first four steps in the previous episodes. With this, we can assume that we have cleaned up breakdowns of the past, reinvented our relationships and recreated trust, enrolled people in the possibility, and created a structure to support making that possibility real. We are nearing the end of this six-part series with today’s talk about the fifth step, which is Committed Actions towards the possibility. It is also a step to check if people are enrolled in the “possibility” and help learners transition from knowing the HOW to DOING. We will talk about the following to dig deep into this step: The distinction between committed action and default action, the importance of committed action to prevent breakdowns, the importance of commitment towards the declared possibility, the pipeline’s demand for leadership, and seeing the process like erecting a new building. Also in this episode, additional resources on the art and craft of coaching will be introduced that will serve any leader -- if you are a leader, you want to be coaching, and if you are a coach, you want to be a leader. Leading and coaching are distinct but cannot be separated. You are getting closer to learning all the steps of the Leadership Pipeline! Do not miss a step! Listen and enjoy this enriching episode.
