It doesn’t seem like a difficult thing to do in theory: feeling our feelings. But for a lot of us, we haven’t learned to skill of recognizing our feelings in our bodies and releasing that energy in a way that brings us closer to ourselves. So today, we’re talking about the skill of learning to feel emotions in our body – something I am very much at the beginning of practicing – the ways that we avoid our feelings, and why it’s an important endeavor to process these things and not allow them to continue building up. I also explain the concept of detachment from our emotions and why this doesn’t mean an impersonal separation from your feelings, but rather a more intimate understanding of how you’re feeling.
