Forcing Yourself Do you wonder why you’re making such slow progress in personal growth or a certain area of self-development? Are you listening to all the podcasts & reading piles of self-help books yet are still not where you feel you should be? The problem could be that you’re forcing yourself to change at a pace that you aren’t ready for or won’t create lasting changes. Take a moment to step back from all the “work” Our brains need some free flow time to process input received. Think of a drain that you keep dumping bucket after bucket of water into. It starts flowing back up because the pipe can only handle so much at once. Go do something fun and inspirational. Let yourself enjoy an outing. You will make more progress when you aren’t constantly trying to make progress! Affirmation: I can regulate my input All things Gutsy Gal can be found at www.gutsygal.org including the free Stop Tossing, Start Sleeping challenge and the Ground Yourself course to help you thrive in spite of anxiety, stress, and the overwhelm of everyday life.
