Hello Everyone, welcome to Regenerate You!On this episode, I wanted to discuss the detrimental effects of mold to your health.Mold toxicity occurs when mycotoxins are produced by micro-fungi, that can affect your body including your hormones, thyroid, adrenals and gut. This is because mycotoxins are nearly all cytotoxic, disrupting various cellular structures , and interfere with vital cellular processes such as protein, RNA and DNA synthesis.  What this means is that they're damaging to the basic building blocks of your cells which translates to cellular dysfunction or cellular death. How does the mold get into your body? Well, during the reproduction process of mold, mold spores are released into the air and can become inhaled through the nose and mouth and they don’t always have a “musty smell” or any odor at all. Once mold spores enter into your body, it can trigger a plethora of symptoms including:·       Chronic or Adrenal fatigue·       Infection sensitivity·       Respiratory infections·       Immune dysfunction·       Brain fog·       Fungal sinusitis·       Asthma·       Neuropathy·       Thyroid dysfunction On this episode I discuss which labs I use to help identify mold in the body, and some basic steps you can begin to eliminate the mycotoxins produced from the toxic mold.
