This week on the Ohio Huntsman Podcast we discuss opening day with an emphasis on selecting a stand. We discuss the natural shift that whitetail make in their home range around the same time as Ohio's opening day. We also discuss how the agriculture fields that make up a large portion of the whitetail range are becoming less attractive to deer as they begin to approach harvest season, which can also drastically change deer activity in those areas. Lastly, we discuss how hunter pressure influences deer movement and activity during this time of the season and what suggestions we have to minimize that impact on your local deer herd.
