Fear of death or dying is very common, especially in western societies ... and this is most likely because of the uncertainty associated with dying. This practice is based on yoga nidra - and the main focus is to bring comfort around you and your body, your breath and the space surrounding your physical body. The aim is to practice this simple meditation regularly, so during times of illness when you practice this body scan, you are so familiar with it that it acts as a self comforting tool, reducing stress and fear.
