Our Dewdrop World is a cover for the host, Aamir, to ask people he knows deep questions about their lives, motivations, and dreams. Listen to what drives ordinary people like you and me, and learn the stories and insights unique to them. The title is inspired by a haiku written by Kobayashi Issa, a Japanese poet and lay Buddhist priest. He wrote this haiku upon the death of his daughter, feeling conflicted between illusory nature of the world and his human experience of grief, longing, and love. This podcast is about the beautiful narratives we create and experience in a world that is ultimately temporary and insignificant.
